Well done Andy Ballingall once again.
Highlights:
- not throwing up on the way down to Newcastle from Edinburgh
and blaming GPS Gill for the delay in Hawick
- not being too late at Angel of the North
- taking a wrong turn within minutes of leaving the start
Had to be done, right?
- driving through the ford at Stanhope 3 times (my mats are wrecked)
Ditto!
- avoiding sheep and cows en route to High Force
Especially the big white one that had a strange look
on it's face as it thought of nudging me off the road, so why did it pick out
the Azure Blue then? Tut?
Could
be guilty……..was never quite sure where I was, but we had a funny sheep
incident, where they were on the road like skittles, and I did a chicane type
run through them, and the last one ran into my rear wing.
No damage to the sheep, the car would not show it, and everybody behind
was curled up……..think they got it on video……….
- High Force
Where I took "point" ...
- the road just after High Force (had at least 3 wheels off the ground at one
point, surely)
All 4 from my rear gunner position
- the hairpins after Hartside
That was really hard work trying to catch up :-)
- leaving the ground somewhere after Langwathby
Where I gave it up again ...
Wish I'd had a camera
- lunch at Brampton
Eating Cumberland Sausage for lunch in Cumbria
- inspecting the contours of Hadrian's wall at Steelrigg (seen one brick, seen 'em
all says Robin)
- pulling a couple of G's in the bendy-on-a-vertical-plane bits of the Military
Road to Bellingham
Awesome
- breaking off the route and going via Kielder, mental (to the guys in my
driving group, sorry I didn't pull 120 but I like
to keep my license clean)
mmmmmm took slightly longer than I'd remembered :-)
- picking up the Elise 49 before Bellingham (safety in numbers, eh)
Didn't it look really wide with the 2 tone paint jobby
:-)
- finding another Scottish nugget between Bonchester Bridge and Jedburgh
- having Fish n Chips when we got home :-)
We are not worthy, Andy. You are an inspiration to us all.
Agreed
Cheers n beers
Campbell
